Terms of service

Last updated 14 October 2026

This agreement

These terms are between you, the Shopify merchant who installs Bookmerce, and IT Brain, who makes it. By installing or using Bookmerce you agree to them. Shopify's own terms also apply to your store and to apps from the Shopify App Store.

The service

Bookmerce lets your store take appointments, classes and events, shows them in your Shopify admin, and sends booking messages. What each plan includes is listed on the pricing page.

Your store and your account

  • You need a Shopify store to use Bookmerce, and you're responsible for who has access to your Shopify admin.
  • Keep your services, prices, hours and staff up to date. Customers book from what you set.

Your customers and bookings

  • Bookings are between you and your customers. You provide the service they book, at the time they book it, and you deal with their questions, changes and refunds.
  • You decide your own booking rules, such as deposits, approvals and how late customers can change or cancel. Show customers any terms of your own, such as a cancellation policy, on your store.
  • You're responsible for having the right to collect your customers' details and for telling them how you use them, for example in your store's privacy policy. Our privacy policy explains what Bookmerce stores for you.

Payments

Paid bookings go through your own Shopify checkout. Money goes to you through Shopify, not through us. Refunds are made on the Shopify order. Bookmerce reminds you when a cancelled booking was paid, but making the refund is up to you.

Price and billing

  • Bookmerce is free while we launch.
  • When paid plans start, any charge goes through Shopify's billing and appears on your Shopify bill. We'll tell you in the app at least 30 days before, and you're never charged for a plan you haven't chosen.
  • You can change or cancel a plan at any time. Moving to a lower plan takes effect at the end of the billing period. We don't refund part of a billing period, except where the law says we must.

Fair use

Don't use Bookmerce for anything illegal, to send messages people didn't ask for, or to take bookings for services you can't lawfully provide. Don't try to break, overload or get around the app's limits, or reach other stores' data. We may suspend an account that does, and we'll tell you why.

Your data

  • Your data stays yours. You can export your bookings at any time.
  • We use it only to run Bookmerce for you, as our privacy policy explains.
  • If you uninstall the app, your data is deleted 48 hours later, as Shopify requires. Export it first if you want to keep it.

Availability and changes

  • We work to keep Bookmerce running and fix problems quickly, but we can't promise it will never be unavailable.
  • We'll keep improving the app. If we remove a feature you rely on or change these terms in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the app beforehand.

Responsibility

We're responsible for providing Bookmerce with reasonable care. We're not responsible for losses we couldn't reasonably have foreseen, for your dealings with your customers, or for problems caused by Shopify, your theme, other apps or the services listed in our privacy policy. As far as the law allows, our total responsibility to you is limited to what you paid us for Bookmerce in the 12 months before the problem. Nothing in these terms limits responsibility that the law doesn't allow us to limit.

Ending

You can stop using Bookmerce at any time by uninstalling it. We may stop providing it to a store that breaks these terms, after telling you why, or to everyone, with at least 30 days' notice.

These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan. Questions about them: [email protected]
